These handmade wooden matchboxes are made with Zebrawood which is native to the lowland forests of Cameroon, Gabon, and the Congo. It is instantly recognizable by its bold striped lumber, which is reminiscent of a zebra's stripes. This purchase includes a free refill of matches as well as a complimentary refurbishment service that covers striking service replacements and minor repairs to your matchbox.
Founded by Akeem Pierre Glaze and Stephanie Marie DelVecchio in 2017, Glaze matches and matchboxes are designed and made in Brooklyn, New York. Each piece is carefully completed by hand to ensure the perfect details. The unique style of Glaze is influenced by Palm Beach and the Northeast, two different lifestyles that blend together beautifully through color, material, form, and imagery. Each material used is selected for its innate qualities and bold characteristics, and each product manufactured is made with integrity in collaboration with small, family-owned American lumber yards, woodworkers, and candlemakers.
