Part Time

We’re looking for competent, friendly shoppe associates to join our award-winning (and growing!) shoppe in Ardmore, PA. The right candidate will join a creative, fast-paced environment and may contribute to the marketing, promotion, ecommerce and giving back components of the business. You must possess a proactive, can-do attitude; care about quality, exceeding expectations, and the desire to learn something new every day.

Exceptional customer service is at the core of our business model and the most important aspect of this position, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to cheerfully assist our customers is an absolute must.

Responsibilities include:
  • Greeting customers in a friendly & personable manner
  • Immersing and educating yourself on our product offering to ensure an in-depth knowledge of our product assortment
  • Recommending, selecting, demonstrating, helping locate merchandise based on customers’ needs/desires
  • Answering questions, providing information & telling the story about the store/merchandise
  • Exercising patience and tact while helping children and/or particular customers
  • Stock replenishment, sales floor merchandising activities
  • Maintaining organized & stocked floor during open hours
  • Managing sales counter, POS experience (e.g. opening/closing cash register, counting money, balancing cash drawer, etc.)
  • Bagging, boxing, packaging and/or shipping customer purchases
  • Wrapping gifts
  • Checking in, pricing, organizing product inventory shipments
  • Maintaining cleanliness of store e.g. light dusting, vacuuming area carpets, cleaning glass cases, etc. as needed
  • Additional support as needed, you are excited to dive in and get it done!

Full Time

We’re looking for a competent, friendly shoppe manager to join our award-winning (and growing!) family concept store in Ardmore, PA. This position is year-round, full time and comes with a fierce opportunity to grow with the company.

The right candidate will join a creative, fast-paced and detail oriented environment, and will contribute to the marketing, promotion, ecommerce and giving back components of the business. Must possess a proactive can-do attitude; care about quality and know the details matter, exceeding expectations, and the desire to learn something new every day.

General leadership:

  • Supporting Creative Director in development, planning, scheduling, and executing in-store merchandising plan
  • Upholding all aspects of company merchandising standards
  • Developing/utilizing all available business analysis reports to aid in business growth
  • Reviewing sales frequently, proactively recommend sales opportunities
Training & development
  • Utilizing all available training tools to provide consistent staff training
  • Administer reviews of sales associates
Operations
  • Managing all aspects of store operations
  • Executing stock replenishment activities, maintaining organized/stocked floor during open hours
  • Managing store cleanliness procedures
  • Supporting in-store and web orders as necessary
  • Training all sales associates to have the highest standards of operation
  • Adhering to all “typical day” guidelines
Loss prevention
  • Supervising regular inventory count process  
  • Training sales associates on internal/external loss prevention

Freelance

We’re looking for a competent, friendly photographer with an eye for styling merchandise to photograph products for our ecommerce website. Most products are desktop in size, including books, toys, games, soft goods, etc. This position is part time, between 10-20 hours/week to start.

Requirements include:

- Degree in photography or equivalent experience

- Understanding/experience shooting with natural lighting and/or have the ability and experience to mimic natural lighting

- Strong styling, shot composition skills

- Ability to follow established product shot guidelines to maintain brand consistency

- Proficient with editing software, including photoshop, lightroom

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills

- Live within easy driving distance of Ardmore

Appropriate colored seamless rolls, and seamless stand if needed, provided.
