Wooden Six Tries Puzzle Game is the Constantin game that looks the most like something you might have found in a very good drawer at a very interesting grandmother's house — a beautifully crafted double-board of warm contrasting woods, one rich reddish-brown, one pale birch, each holding a numbered grid of holes with a single marble resting inside. Roll the die, move your marble the corresponding number of spaces, and navigate your way to the centre. Do it in six tries or fewer. Watch your opponent attempt the same.
Simple to learn. Surprisingly absorbing. The kind of game that ends and immediately gets played again.
Designed by Jean-Claude Constantin, whose wooden games occupy that rare space where object and game are equally worth having — this one earns its place on a shelf, a coffee table, or anywhere people gather and feel the urge to play.
