Everything a tortoise draws becomes real, and with this Map Making Stamp Kit | Castle Edition, so can yours. This set starts with Lord of Maps Draws a Map, a hardcover picture book that's secretly a how-to in disguise. Map Making Stamp Kit | Castle Edition is for everyone who enjoys castles, villages, and towers, and the set shares eighteen of them. The wooden stamp set has a walled village with a church steeple, a twin-towered gatehouse, a grand castle, a stone keep, a hilltop watchtower, cottages, and half-timbered houses, plus the things that make a map worth following: a tentacled sea monster, a winged dragon, a tall ship under full sail, a treasure chest, and a proper X to mark the spot. Stamp a few forests, a cave, and a patch of reeds, and there's a whole kingdom waiting to be named.
It's the perfect kit for anyone who loves maps and is hopeless at drawing them. Press a stamp, and the hard part is done.
The kit also includes Lord of Maps Draws a Map, a hardcover picture book that's secretly a how-to in disguise. Earl, a wise old tortoise wandering the Land of Nowhere, finds a pen and a piece of paper, and everything he draws comes to life. A "secret recipe" for map making in the back adds step-by-step instructions and practice pages, some with transparent mountains to trace over. A Blank Map Workbook with 30+ maps gives your kingdom somewhere to land, whether you stamp, draw, or do both. The book is the work of Isaac Dushku, the self-taught "Lord of Maps," whose fantasy map tutorials online inspired the whole kit. Map Making Stamp Kit | Castle Edition includes:
- 18 wooden stamps: villages, castles, towers, houses, a dragon, a sea monster, a ship, a treasure chest, and more
- Hardcover picture book, Lord of Maps Draws a Map
- Blank Map Workbook with 30+ maps to stamp or draw on
- Stamp pad not included
A wonderful gift for the young cartographer, the fantasy lover, the tabletop gamer, or anyone who's ever wanted to draw the kingdom in their head.
Map Making Stamp Kit | Castle Edition measures:
- Box of stamps measures 3" L x 4" W x 1.25" H
- Blank Map Workbook measures 8" L x 10" W x 0.25" H
- Lord of Maps Draws a Map book measures 10.25" L x 8.25" W x 0.25" H
- Recommended for ages 7+
- CHOKING HAZARD: Small parts, not suitable for children under 3 years old.
- Stamp pad not included. Go easy on the ink, since the workbook pages are thin and heavy ink can bleed through
