Little Felted Nest with Chicklet Ornament | Ochre

A complete tiny world in golden ochre: one fluffy yellow chick nestled among embroidered eggs, each topped with a delicate white daisy, all cradled in a perfectly rounded felt nest. Handcrafted in Nepal by skilled artisans from 100% New Zealand wool, every element is thoughtfully felted—from the textured nest to the chick's tiny beak to those miniature floral accents. Sweet enough for Easter, charming enough to leave out year-round on mantels, shelves, or anywhere that could use a reminder that spring always returns. The kind of ornament that makes people stop, lean in close, and smile at the details.

Each item is handmade of 100% wool from New Zealand through the ancient technique of felt making. By adding warm soapy water to wool and then pressing and rubbing, the fibers will tighten into a felted textile material. Gradually, as the fibers are tightening together, the items are shaped into their final form - flower, heart, bird, etc. Once it is dried, it is ready for its final embellishments. 

These products are 100% Fair Trade certified by the World Fair Trade Organization and made by skilled Nepalese women. To become fair trade certified, there are ten principles that must be met:
