Description

Swiss cabaret artist Ursus Wehrli is the king of tidying up. This is particularly well demonstrated in this new The Art of Tidying Up Memory Game with 72 cards: one picture presents an everyday scene as you know it, then on the second picture this scene is thoroughly tidied up. This series full of wit and esprit brings the tidiness of German culture to the point.

From the wittiest and most original motifs appears this noble memo game. Meaningless tidying can be extremely humorous! Nothing is safe from Wehrli's tidying hand. The comedian disassembles the most diverse pictures into their individual parts and meticulously piles up all the elements, or he sorts what was previously a colorful mixture. Thus a parking lot gets a color order and in the supermarket where one buys only according to colors. A Beethoven score is tidied up as thoroughly as a painting by Egon Schiele, the map of Europe disintegrates into its simple individual parts, as does the Vienna subway map.

Naked kickers and counted fries, Wehrli turns our everyday life upside down and points out his obsession with order. In this memo game, the table is cleared without pardon. Afterwards, nothing is the same anymore. Each of his fine tidying orgies is a humorous surprise.
