This clever little wooden lion, with its smart interchangeable magnetic limbs, engages the young and old alike with its minimalist sculptural form and ease of assembly. What’s more, each heirloom quality animal is part of a collectible set allowing children of all ages to mix and match limbs, ears and tails to create never-before-seen creatures.
Designed and handcrafted in Bulgaria by a boutique architecture firm and their local partners, these display-worthy wooden animals are made using eco-friendly beech and oak woods and remain free of any varnish or paint, which makes them suitable for little minds yet beautiful enough to consider art.
Archabits is a small architecture studio run by Bistra Popova and Anastas Marchev in Bulgaria. Once these two architects became parents, they started experimenting with the application of architecture and design in the toy creation process. Paying mindful attention to quality, the unique minimalist aesthetic they’ve become known for, and the need for toys to last multiple generations, all of the products -- from the initial drawings and prototypes to final products and their packaging -- are handmade in their studio and by their local partners using only eco-friendly natural materials with no finishes.
