Part Time Sales Associate

We’re looking for competent, friendly sales associates to join our award-winning (and growing!) shoppe in Ardmore. We specialize in creating wonder through the act of giving via a unique retail experience and ecommerce website.

The right candidate will join a creative, fast-paced environment and may contribute to the marketing, promotion, ecommerce and giving back components of the business. Must possess a proactive, can-do attitude; care about quality, getting the job done right, exceeding expectations, and the desire to learn something new every day.

Exceptional customer service is the most important aspect of this position, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to cheerfully assist our customers is an absolute must.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Greeting customers in a friendly & personable manner
  • Immersing and educating yourself on our product offering to ensure an in-depth knowledge of our product assortment
  • Recommending, selecting, demonstrating, helping locate merchandise based on customers’ needs/desires
  • Answering questions, providing information & telling the story about store/merchandise
  • Exercising patience and tact while helping children and/or particular customers
  • Assisting in floor merchandising and stock replenishment activities including maintaining an organized and stocked floor during open hours
  • Managing cash wrap and POS experience (e.g. opening/closing cash register, counting money, balancing cash drawer, etc.)
  • Bagging, boxing, packaging and/or shipping customer purchases
  • Wrapping gifts
  • Checking in, pricing, organizing product shipments
  • Maintaining cleanliness of store when needed e.g. light dusting, vacuuming area carpets, cleaning glass cases, etc.
  • Additional support as needed, you are excited to dive in and get it done!


Qualifications:

  • Ability to work 20+ hours per week, including weekends

Store Manager

This position is year-round, full time and comes with a fierce opportunity to grow with the company.

The right candidate will join a creative, fast-paced and detail oriented environment, and will contribute to the marketing, promotion, ecommerce and giving back components of the business. Must possess a proactive, can-do attitude; care about quality and know the details matter, getting the job done right, exceeding expectations, and the desire to learn something new every day.

You will be responsible for:
General leadership

  • Serve as a proactive mentor, teacher and problem solver

Customer care
You will be interacting with customers directly:

  • Immerse and educate yourself on our product offering to ensure an in-depth knowledge of our product assortment
  • Greet customers in a friendly & personable manner

  • Answer questions, provide information & tell the story about store/merchandise

Merchant skills

  • Support Creative Director in development, planning, scheduling, and executing in-store merchandising plan
  • Uphold all aspects of company merchandising standards
  • Develop/utilize all available business analysis reports to aid in business growth
  • Review sales frequently, proactively recommend sales opportunities

Training & development

  • Utilize all available training tools to provide consistent training to staff  
  • Administer reviews of sales associates

Operations

  • Manage all aspects of store operations
  • Manage stock replenishment activities, maintain organized/stocked floor during open hours
  • Manage store cleanliness procedures
  • Support in-store and web orders as necessary
  • Train all sales associates to have the highest standards for operations
  • Audit store on regular basis for maintenance issues
  • Adhere to all “typical day” guidelines
  • Control store operations budget, manage store petty cash

Loss prevention

  • Supervise inventory count process on regular basis  
  • Ensure all sales associates are trained on internal/external loss prevention

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in retail environment at supervisory/management level
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week
  • Excellence, enthusiasm, and excitement about engaging with customers

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to exceed expectations is an absolute must.

You will be responsible for:
