This German Glass Ornament | Yellow Crescent Moon tells us the old tale of the man in the moon. Smiling, he guides us on our way through the night. Silver shimmers slightly through the yellow colored surface. With the real iron cap you can attach the moon on your Christmas tree. The charming details are hand painted making him a one-of-a-kind addition to your decorating. Each ornament is made of handblown glass by artisans in Germany.

More to the Story

Over the course of time, Christmas tree decoration has taken many forms. At first, trees were adorned with real fruits and nuts but since the middle of the 19th century, glass ornaments have made trees sparkle and shine. Glass Christmas decorations were in originally created in Lauscha, Germany by a poor glass-blowing artist who could not afford the traditional fresh fruits that had been used previously.
