With fabric knitted and dyed in France and handmade in a workshop in Brittany, Jermaine the Petite Bear is full of character with dark blue-grey fur and hand stitched face and paws. His story goes that he was born in the Grunewald forest in Berlin and loves to drink a good apple juice and to play with his friends. With his extraordinary sense of smell, it is he who warns them of any approaching danger. When he’s displeased, Jermaine grumbles in all languages. In fact, since birth, he has been able to growl in fifteen different languages. Being famous for this incredible talent, children from all over the world come to visit and listen to his stories. Today, Jermaine dreams of traveling and of one day becoming the ambassador for all the world’s teddy bears.
More to the Story
Véronique Lacaze is an interior designer and graduate of the Arts Décoratifs de Paris. She began her career at Printemps where she became the project manager for the animated Christmas windows. She then began to design the Printemps mascots, the famous characters of the Boulevard Haussmann that, at the end of each year, make children and adults dream alike. It was a magical experience for her. Creating characters for children, seeing them come to life in the shop windows... Véronique Lacaze feels like a real Geppetto!
