Standing tall in sage-green felted overalls with a front pocket, hand-stitched edges, and a pair of crimson patches at the knees that suggest a great deal of kneeling in the name of good work, this white felted mouse wears a mustard-yellow shirt beneath and a red knit cap topped with a white pompom. Round pink-lined ears, a sweet stitched smile, and soft cream shoes complete the look. In one hand he carries a woven natural sack tied with a red bow and finished with a bright red heart, the kind of gift that's clearly been chosen with care.

Handcrafted from felted wool and generous in scale, he's a figure with real presence, equally at home on a holiday mantel, beside a tree, or standing guard in a hallway long after the season has passed. A wonderful gift for the collector, the Christmas loved one, or anyone whose home could use a very well-dressed mouse with a very good gift bag.

-----

More to the Story

-----

Each item is handmade of 100% wool from New Zealand through the ancient technique of felt making. By adding warm soapy water to wool and then pressing and rubbing, the fibers will tighten into a felted textile material. Gradually, as the fibers are tightening together, the items are shaped into their final form - flower, heart, bird, etc. Once it is dried, it is ready for its final embellishments.

-----

About Fair Trade

-----

These products are 100% Fair Trade certified by the World Fair Trade Organization and made by skilled Nepalese women.
